2. What have you been up to lately? What projects are you currently working on? I just got distribution through 22 Recordings/Capitol Records/EMI… Working on a new single to be dropped in September, and we’re going to be in the studio working on an album for 2013!
3. At what age did you realize that music was what you wanted to do? What or who inspired you? Kindergarten is when I actually started singing. There’s a video on YouTube of me in Kindergarten singing “Hero” by Mariah Carey. I got a standing ovation... but that’s when I realized that singing was what I wanted to do. Throughout elementary, middle school, there were school choirs. I went to school for the performing arts and studied, music, theatre, and dance.
4. Was the process challenging for you, transitioning from a group to a solo artist? Not really, at first it was kind of difficult leaving all of that behind, but I got over it really quick making my transition.
5. What are you bringing to the table that some other artist aren’t? (What makes you different?) I’m trying to evolve into an artist who has an R&B/Pop style. I just want to add my piece to the puzzle. I’m not saying that I’m better than anybody, there are a lot of artist out there that are very talented. I just want to evolve myself and I’m just excited to give my fans my music.
