Following the release of his post-prison single '6 Foot 7 Foot,' Lil Wayne is ready to unleash the beast. The eccentric rapper is reportedly nearing the finish line for his highly anticipated 'Tha Carter IV,' with Young Money president Mack Maine revealing the album is almost a complete wrap.
"I was in the studio all night workin' on this 'Carter IV,'' he told XXL. 'We pretty much finished, to be honest; we probably need about two more songs. We got David Banner coming in tonight, so hopefully he'll come with somethin'. We try to make sure -- he kind of makes every album. He made 'Tha Carter III,' and made ['We Are Young Money']."
Aside from predictable guest spots from Nicki Minaj and Drake, Weezy is enlisting producers Detail and Swizz Beatz for the project and reaching out to artists with whom he never worked. "I'm gonna keep the features a surprise," Maine continued. "[He] just did something with somebody he never worked with, though."
Wayne recently shot the video for '6 Foot 7 Foot' with director Hype Williams, and will be debuting the clip soon. "[Wayne] actually shot his first video with Hype Williams, which is big. We just finished a four-day video shoot, which is like a movie to me," he said. -Reports from Hot new HIp Hop

CHRIS BROWN's representative has dismissed reports that Chris's lawyer asked a judge to drop a restraining order against him so he can attend the upcoming Grammy Awards in Feb at the same time as his ex-girlfriend RIHANNA. Chris has been working on rebuilding his reputation since a violent 2009 altercation with Rhianna, following a pre-Grammys party. The altercation left him with an assault conviction and he was handed five years probation, six months of community service and ordered to take a series of domestic violence counselling classes. He was also told to stay away from Rihanna. He has now completed the 52-week domestic violence program and no longer has to undergo progress reports every three months. On Friday (28Jan11), Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg congratulated Brown on his progress, and took into consideration his lawyer's request to have the rules of a protective order to stay away from Rihanna relaxed. Chris's publicist has denied claims that Chris wanted the ban dropped so he can go to the Grammys in February (11) without running the risk of breaking the restraining order.

Finale made the decision to become a rapper, and by his 14th birthday, was recording. It is clear that the artists of that time had a great influence on Finale, but none more so than LL Cool J.
